💬 Tangerine AI Chatbot – Customer Support Assistant
The Challenge
Tangerine Inc., a small handmade accessories business, was growing fast — but DMs and order questions were piling up. The founder was spending hours answering repeat questions:
- “Do you offer custom colors?”
- “How long does shipping take?”
- “Can I return if it doesn’t fit?”
As volume increased, it was clear we needed help handling basic support.
The Solution
I designed a simple AI chatbot using ChatGPT to automate customer conversations. It integrates with Tangerine’s website and responds instantly to FAQs — without sounding robotic.
What it can do:
- Answer product questions (sizes, colors, materials)
- Estimate shipping times by region
- Share order status links (via Etsy or manual upload)
- Direct users to the contact form if human help is needed
The tone is on-brand: friendly, clear, and helpful — like a real assistant, not a bot.
What I Led
- Wrote the full knowledge base from scratch based on real customer questions
- Trained the bot with a personality that reflects the brand’s tone
- Set up fallback logic for tricky questions
- Embedded the assistant on the website using a no-code tool
- Collected early feedback from buyers and improved response accuracy
This project helped Tangerine scale support — without sacrificing the personal, boutique feel that makes the brand stand out.
